Sausage Cream Cheese Casserole

This Sausage Cream Cheese Casserole is a delicious and hearty dish perfect for breakfast or brunch. Loaded with savory sausage and creamy cheese, it's sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

  • 1 pound sausage mild or spicy, as preferred
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 pkg refrigerated crescent rolls

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium-high heat until browned and crumbled. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in the softened cream cheese and mix well to combine. Set aside.
  • Unroll crescent rolls and press into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, sealing seams with fingers.
  • Spread the sausage and cream cheese mixture over the crescent roll dough.
  • In a large bowl, whisk eggs and pour over sausage mixture. Top with 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with remaining cheddar cheese. Let it stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

This casserole can be made a day in advance and baked just before serving. Pair it with a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
