Total
: 25 minutes
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese finely grated and brought to room temperature
- 3 tbsp butter divided
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 8 oz angel hair pasta
- fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Grate the Parmesan and set it aside to reach room temperature. Check the pasta package cooking time because angel hair cooks quickly.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then cook the garlic for 1 to 2 minutes.
Add the chicken broth, slowly stir in the milk, and bring the liquid to a boil.
Add the angel hair, using tongs to ease the noodles into the skillet as they soften. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, then reduce the heat to low.
Toss in the remaining tablespoon of butter, then gradually stir in the Parmesan until smooth. Let the sauce thicken briefly as the pasta stands.
Garnish with parsley if desired and serve promptly.
