Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
In a large bowl, combine mashed potatoes, sour cream, milk, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix well.
Spread the potato mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Top with chicken and broccoli florets.
