Heath Toffee Cookie Bars

Chewy cookie bars loaded with Heath toffee bits and chocolate chips.

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter softened
  • 0.75 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 0.75 cup Brown Sugar packed
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2.5 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1.5 cups Heath Toffee Bits
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips semi-sweet

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the Heath toffee bits and chocolate chips.
  • Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

These bars are best served at room temperature. Store in an airtight container.
