  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup uncooked rice white or brown
  • 2 cups chicken broth low sodium
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Preparation Steps

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • Add ground turkey to the skillet, cooking until browned and no longer pink.
  • Stir in the uncooked rice, chicken broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until the rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes.
  • Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.

Notes

Adjust seasoning as per your preference. Serve with a side of steamed veggies for a complete meal.
