Garlic Butter Steak Bites & Cheesy Smashed Potatoes: 5 Key Steps!

Ingredients
  

Steak Bites

  • 1.5 lbs Sirloin Steak Cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 tbsp Butter Unsalted
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley Chopped
  • 0.5 tsp Salt Or to taste
  • 0.25 tsp Black Pepper Freshly ground

Cheesy Smashed Potatoes

  • 1.5 lbs Small Potatoes Yukon Gold or Red Potatoes
  • 4 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 0.5 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 tbsp Sour Cream
  • 0.5 tsp Salt Or to taste
  • 0.25 tsp Black Pepper Freshly ground

Instructions
 

Steak Bites

  • Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak cubes and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant. Stir in chopped parsley.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Cheesy Smashed Potatoes

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Boil potatoes until fork-tender. Drain.
  • Place potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Use a fork or potato masher to gently smash each potato.
  • Drizzle each potato with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Top with sour cream before serving.

Notes

Adjust seasonings to your preference. For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the steak bites.
