French Onion Pasta

A delicious and easy French Onion Pasta recipe, perfect for a weeknight meal. Caramelized onions add a sweet and savory depth of flavor to this simple pasta dish.

  • 2 cups Yellow Onion
  • 0.5 cup Butter
  • 8 ounces Pasta (penne, rigatoni, or your favorite shape)
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 0.5 cup Dry White Wine
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Thyme
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated

Preparation Steps

  • Caramelize the onions in butter until golden brown.
  • Cook pasta according to package directions.
  • Add white wine and beef broth to the caramelized onions; simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in cooked pasta, thyme, and parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use half beef broth and half heavy cream. You can also add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
