  • 1.5 pounds ground beef 80% lean
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese sharp
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Preparation Steps

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  • Transfer the browned beef into the crock-pot. Add chicken broth and set to low heat.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour to form a roux. Gradually whisk in heavy cream until smooth.
  • Pour the cream mixture into the crock-pot and stir in shredded cheddar cheese. Cook on low for 4 hours.
