Preparation Steps
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
Transfer the browned beef into the crock-pot. Add chicken broth and set to low heat.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour to form a roux. Gradually whisk in heavy cream until smooth.
Pour the cream mixture into the crock-pot and stir in shredded cheddar cheese. Cook on low for 4 hours.
