Baked Chili Mac and Cheese

This delicious Baked Chili Mac and Cheese combines hearty beef chili with creamy macaroni and cheese for a comforting and flavorful dish perfect for family dinners.

  • 1 pound ground beef lean
  • 1 can diced tomatoes undrained
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni cooked according to package instructions
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add diced tomatoes and chili powder to the beef. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in the cooked macaroni and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Transfer to a baking dish.
  • Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and bake for 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

For a spicier version, add a chopped jalapeño to the beef mixture.
