5-Step Gluten-Free Apple Fritters: Perfect Crispy Bite!

These gluten-free apple fritters are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect for a quick dessert!

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour With xanthan gum
  • 0.5 tsp Baking Powder
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 cup Milk Dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 medium Apples Peeled and diced
  • 2 cups Vegetable Oil For frying

Glaze

  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Milk

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  • Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  • Whisk together powdered sugar and milk for the glaze. Dip the fritters in the glaze while they're still warm.
