Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Whisk together powdered sugar and milk for the glaze. Dip the fritters in the glaze while they're still warm.
