Instructions
Preparation Steps
Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, then drain.
In a separate pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in the milk and bring the mixture to a simmer.
Add the cheese, salt, and pepper, and stir until the cheese is melted.
Add the cooked macaroni to the sauce and stir until well combined.
Notes
For a little kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cheese sauce.
