Sour Cream Noodle Bake

This easy Sour Cream Noodle Bake is a comforting and satisfying dish perfect for a family dinner.

  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef lean
  • 1 cup sour cream light
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, then drain excess fat.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper into the beef. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine the sour cream and cooked noodles.
  • In a baking dish, layer the noodle mixture, beef mixture, and half of the shredded cheese.
  • Repeat the layers and top with the remaining shredded cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

For a spicier dish, you can add some red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
