Seafood Bisque Recipe

  • 1 pound Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 0.5 pound Crab meat
  • 1 cup Chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Tomato juice
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add shrimp, crab meat, chicken broth, and tomato juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 more minutes.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

Garnish with fresh parsley or chives before serving. You can also add a splash of white wine for extra flavor.
