Preparation Steps
Brown the sausage in a large pot over medium heat. Remove sausage and set aside.
Add onion, carrots, and celery to the pot and cook until softened.
Stir in wild rice and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 40 minutes, or until rice is tender.
Add the cooked sausage back to the pot. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Notes
This soup can be made ahead of time and reheated. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
