Ingredients
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
- 1 pound chicken breasts cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 pound broccoli cut into florets
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 3/4 cup water or beef stock
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with water for a slurry
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
Add the chicken, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, water, brown sugar, and sesame oil to the Instant Pot and mix.
Secure the lid and set the vent to sealing.
Cook on high pressure for 3 minutes, then quickly release the steam and open the lid carefully.
Select sauté, add the cornstarch slurry, and stir until the sauce thickens.
Stir in the broccoli, cover, and let it steam for a couple of minutes. Serve over rice and garnish with sesame seeds.
Cut the chicken evenly so it cooks at the same rate.
The broccoli is added after pressure cooking to keep it bright and tender-crisp.
