Philly cheesesteak sloppy joes

A fun twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, these sloppy joes are packed with flavor and easy to make.

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 1 medium Green bell pepper chopped
  • 8 oz Sliced mushrooms
  • 0.25 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 slices Provolone cheese
  • 6 each Hoagie rolls

Preparation Steps

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add the onion and green bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for another 5 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender.
  • Top with provolone cheese slices and cover the skillet. Allow the cheese to melt, about 2 minutes.
  • Spoon the mixture onto the hoagie rolls and serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to add other toppings like banana peppers or hot sauce for extra flavor.
