Pecan Turtle Bars

Delicious pecan turtle bars with a caramel and chocolate topping.
Prep : 10 Total : 25 minutes

Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Butter softened
  • 0.25 cup Powdered sugar

Filling

  • 1 cup Pecans chopped
  • 14 ounce Caramels unwrapped
  • 0.33 cup Heavy cream
  • 11.5 ounce Milk chocolate chips

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine flour, butter, and powdered sugar. Press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Sprinkle pecans over the crust.
  • In a saucepan, melt caramels with heavy cream over low heat, stirring constantly.
  • Pour caramel mixture over pecans.
  • Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips over the caramel layer. Let stand for 5 minutes, then spread melted chocolate evenly.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
