Peanut Butter Sheet Cake

This easy Peanut Butter Sheet Cake is incredibly moist and topped with a rich peanut butter frosting. It's a simple yet delicious dessert perfect for any occasion.

  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup peanut butter creamy
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup buttermilk

Peanut Butter Frosting

  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.5 cup peanut butter creamy
  • 3 cup powdered sugar
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Cake Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.

Frosting Preparation

  • While the cake is baking, prepare the frosting. In a medium bowl, beat together the softened butter and peanut butter until smooth.

  • Gradually beat in the powdered sugar, alternating with the milk, until smooth and creamy. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  • Once the cake is slightly cooled, spread the frosting evenly over the top.

Notes

Let the cake cool completely before frosting for best results. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
