Preparation Steps
Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and milk. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved.
Bring the mixture to a full rolling boil, then boil for 5 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent scorching.
Remove from heat and immediately stir in peanut butter, butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and fully combined.
Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Let cool at room temperature for 2 hours, or until completely set. Alternatively, refrigerate for 1 hour.
Lift fudge out of the pan using the parchment overhang and cut into 24 squares.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
