Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix together peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Stir in baking soda and salt until fully combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls. Place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
