  • 1 cup All-purpose flour spooned and leveled
  • 1 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder Dutch-process preferred
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.75 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Packed light brown sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Peanut butter chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in peanut butter chips.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set and centers are slightly soft.
  • Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of peanut butter chips.
