  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup peanut butter smooth
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips optional

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, beat melted butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract to the peanut butter mixture and mix well.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips, if using.
  • Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For a twist, try adding chopped nuts or sprinkling sea salt on top after baking.
