Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In another bowl, beat melted butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
Add eggs and vanilla extract to the peanut butter mixture and mix well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips, if using.
Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 25 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
For a twist, try adding chopped nuts or sprinkling sea salt on top after baking.
