Peach Crisp

A delicious and easy peach crisp recipe that's perfect for any occasion. Bursting with sweet, juicy peaches and topped with a crunchy, buttery oat topping.

Ingredients
  

Peach Filling

  • 6 pounds peaches peeled, pitted, and sliced
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Crisp Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 0.75 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.75 cup cold unsalted butter cut into cubes

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Toss gently to coat.
  • Pour the peach mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt for the crisp topping.
  • Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Sprinkle the crisp topping evenly over the peach filling.
  • Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  • Let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

This peach crisp is best served warm. For an extra decadent treat, pair it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
