One Bowl Lemon Dessert

A bright and zesty lemon dessert made entirely in one bowl for easy cleanup!

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons lemon zest from about 2 lemons
  • 0.25 cup fresh lemon juice

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the melted butter, milk, eggs, lemon zest, and lemon juice to the bowl with the dry ingredients.
  • Whisk until just combined and smooth. Do not overmix.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the dessert cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Optional: Dust with powdered sugar before serving for an extra touch of sweetness.
