  • 1.5 pounds chicken breast sliced into strips
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup hoisin sauce
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

Serve with steamed rice and garnish with green onions for extra flavor.
