Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, bread crumbs, milk, eggs, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish. Spread brown sugar on top.
Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until fully cooked through.
Prepare the beef gravy according to packet instructions.
Remove meatloaf from oven, let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve with prepared gravy.
Notes
For best results, let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing to ensure it holds its shape.
