Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup sun-dried tomatoes (oil-packed), chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 serving Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
  • Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
  • Return chicken to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for 5 minutes, or until heated through.
  • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve immediately over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.

Notes

Serve with your favorite side—pasta, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread work wonderfully to soak up the creamy sauce.
