Instructions
Preparation Steps
Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain.
In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth.
Gradually whisk in milk, and bring to a boil. Cook and stir until thickened.
Stir in cheese, salt, and pepper until cheese is melted. Add macaroni and bacon, and stir to coat.
Notes
For a crispy topping, sprinkle breadcrumbs and additional cheese on top and broil for a few minutes.
