Instructions
Preparation Steps
Scrub clams and soak in cold, salted water for 20 minutes to remove any sand.
Cook linguine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
Add clams and white wine to the skillet. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until clams open. Discard any clams that do not open.
Add cooked linguine to the skillet with the clams. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a sauce.
Stir in parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
Notes
Serve with a side of crusty bread for dipping in the sauce.
