Lemon Cream Cheese Dump Cake

A simple and delicious lemon cream cheese dump cake recipe. Easy to make with minimal ingredients and perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup pineapple tidbits drained
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice

Cream Cheese Topping

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine cake mix, sour cream, pineapple, and lemon juice. Mix until just combined.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  • In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon zest until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the cake batter.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely before serving.

Notes

For a more intense lemon flavor, add an extra tablespoon of lemon zest or lemon extract to the cream cheese topping.
