Lemon Bars Recipe

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 units large eggs room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons lemon zest finely grated
  • 0.75 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar for dusting

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix flour and butter until crumbly. Press into the prepared dish.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  • In another bowl, whisk sugar, eggs, lemon juice, and zest until smooth.
  • Pour lemon mixture over crust and bake for another 25 minutes.
  • Allow to cool completely, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Best served chilled. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
