Preparation Steps
Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
While pasta is cooking, cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon from skillet and set aside, reserving 2 tablespoons of bacon grease in the skillet.
Add garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
Stir in Parmesan cheese and black pepper. Season with salt to taste.
Add cooked pasta and bacon to the skillet and toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add a little pasta water to thin it out.
Serve immediately and garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and black pepper, if desired.
