  • 1 lb Pasta (Spaghetti or Fettuccine) Cooked according to package directions
  • 8 oz Bacon Cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  • While pasta is cooking, cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon from skillet and set aside, reserving 2 tablespoons of bacon grease in the skillet.
  • Add garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese and black pepper. Season with salt to taste.
  • Add cooked pasta and bacon to the skillet and toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add a little pasta water to thin it out.
  • Serve immediately and garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and black pepper, if desired.
