  • 2 lb Russet Potatoes Peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 lb Cooked Ham Diced
  • 3 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black Pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the prepared baking dish, followed by half of the diced ham.
  • Pour half of the heavy cream over the potatoes and ham. Sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Repeat layers: potatoes, ham, cream, cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the cream mixture.
