  • 2 6 oz fillets Cod Fillets Skin on or off, your choice.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Extra virgin olive oil is recommended
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Unsalted.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley Chopped.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed.
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt To taste.
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground, to taste.

Preparation Steps

  • Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Carefully place the cod fillets in the hot skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the cod from the skillet and set aside. Reduce heat to medium.
  • Add butter to the skillet and let it melt. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  • Stir in fresh parsley and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour the herb butter sauce over the seared cod and serve immediately.
