This classic banana pudding recipe is a crowd-pleaser! Layers of creamy vanilla pudding, ripe bananas, and crispy vanilla wafers make it a perfect dessert for any occasion.

  • 1 box Vanilla wafers 12 ounces
  • 6 medium Bananas Sliced
  • 1 can Sweetened condensed milk 14 ounces
  • 1.5 cups Ice water
  • 1 package Instant vanilla pudding mix 5.1 ounces
  • 3 cups Heavy cream

Preparation Steps

  • Line the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish with vanilla wafers.
  • In a large bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and ice water. Whisk until smooth.
  • Add the instant vanilla pudding mix and whisk until well combined. Let stand for 2 minutes to thicken.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture.
  • Arrange a layer of sliced bananas over the vanilla wafers. Pour half of the pudding mixture over the bananas.
  • Repeat layers of wafers, bananas, and pudding mixture. Top with remaining wafers.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, before serving.

Notes

For an extra touch, garnish with shaved chocolate or extra whipped cream before serving.
