Preparation Steps
Pat scallops dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add scallops to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Stir in lemon juice and serve immediately.
