  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean beef for best results
  • 8 pieces corn tortillas Choose small size for tacos
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes Freshly chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Or cheese blend
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions
 

Preparation Steps

  • In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  • Warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan.
  • Fill each tortilla with beef, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. Fold in half and press down lightly.
  • In hot oil, fry each filled taco until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

Notes

Serve with salsa or sour cream for added flavor.
