French Toast Rolls

  • 8 slices White Bread
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Filling (Optional)

  • 2 tablespoons Cream Cheese Softened
  • 2 tablespoons Strawberry Jam

Preparation Steps

  • Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin.
  • If using filling, spread a thin layer of cream cheese and strawberry jam on each slice.
  • Roll up each slice of bread tightly and secure with a toothpick.
  • In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  • Dip each roll into the egg mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the rolls for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  • Remove toothpicks and serve immediately. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
