Preparation Steps
Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin.
If using filling, spread a thin layer of cream cheese and strawberry jam on each slice.
Roll up each slice of bread tightly and secure with a toothpick.
In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
Dip each roll into the egg mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the rolls for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
Remove toothpicks and serve immediately. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
