Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup rice vinegar
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sriracha, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes to make the firecracker sauce.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and nearly cooked through, about 6-7 minutes.
  • Pour the firecracker sauce over the chicken and stir to coat. Bring to a simmer.
  • Add the cornstarch slurry and stir continuously until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions before serving over rice or noodles.

Notes

Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal. Adjust spice level by reducing or increasing sriracha and red pepper flakes.
