Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add olive oil. Add shrimp, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
In the same skillet, add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
Add cooked fettuccine and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to combine, ensuring the pasta and shrimp are well coated with the sauce.
Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.

For an extra touch, add chopped parsley for garnish.
