Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp

A rich and creamy pasta dish featuring tender shrimp and a luscious Alfredo sauce, perfect for a special occasion.

  • 1 lb fettuccine Uncooked
  • 0.5 cup butter Unsalted
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese Grated
  • 1 lb shrimp Peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add olive oil. Add shrimp, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Add cooked fettuccine and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to combine, ensuring the pasta and shrimp are well coated with the sauce.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For an extra touch, add chopped parsley for garnish.
