Easy Homemade Granola Recipe

A simple and delicious homemade granola recipe that's perfect for breakfast or snacking. Made with oats, nuts, seeds, and a touch of sweetness.

  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup chopped mixed nuts (such as almonds, walnuts, and pecans)
  • 0.5 cup raw pumpkin seeds
  • 0.5 cup raw sunflower seeds
  • 0.5 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.333 cup pure maple syrup
  • 0.333 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup dried cranberries or raisins (optional, for after baking)

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the oats, chopped nuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, shredded coconut, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In a separate small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  • Spread the mixture in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to ensure even baking and prevent burning.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet. The granola will crisp up as it cools.
  • Once cooled, stir in dried cranberries or raisins if using. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy with yogurt, milk, or as a snack on its own!
