  • 0.5 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
  • 2 cups mild cheddar cheese freshly shredded; divide 1.5 cups for dip and 0.5 cup for garnish
  • 0.75 cup cooked and crumbled bacon divide 0.5 cup for dip and 0.25 cup for garnish
  • 0.5 cup green onions thinly sliced; divide 0.25 cup for dip and 0.25 cup for garnish

Preparation Steps

  • In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a handheld mixer on medium-low for 1 to 1.5 minutes until smooth.
  • Add the sour cream, dry ranch dressing mix, and fresh cracked black pepper. Mix on medium speed until well incorporated.
  • Lower mixer speed to low and fold in 1.5 cups shredded cheddar, 0.5 cup crumbled bacon, and 0.25 cup sliced green onions until just combined.
  • Cover tightly with plastic wrap or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for 1 hour to chill and set.
  • Before serving, sprinkle the top with remaining shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, and sliced green onions. Enjoy with crackers or fresh veggies.
