Easy Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil divided
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar or to taste
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon dried onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried garlic powder or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger or to taste
- 1 teaspoon fresh garlic minced, optional
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger minced, optional
- 1 pound beef round cut into thin bite-sized strips
- 1 pound broccoli cut into small florets
Instructions
Whisk beef broth, soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, brown sugar, cornstarch, onion powder, garlic powder, ginger, and optional fresh garlic and ginger in a bowl. Stir in the beef and set aside to marinate.
Heat the remaining tablespoon sesame oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add broccoli and stir-fry until just tender, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
Increase heat to medium-high. Add beef with its marinade and stir-fry until just cooked, 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
Return broccoli to the pan and toss with the beef and sauce until hot and glossy. Serve immediately.
