  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted Butter softened
  • 0.75 cup Brown Sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3 cups Rolled Oats
  • 0.75 cup Dark Chocolate Chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in rolled oats and dark chocolate chips.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For chewier cookies, slightly underbake them. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
