  • 1.5 pounds ground beef preferably 80% lean
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs unseasoned
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in the Crock-Pot.
  • Cover and cook on the low setting for 4 hours or until fully cooked.

Notes

You can add ketchup or barbecue sauce over the top before serving for added flavor.
