  • 1 tsp Salt

Honey Sauce

  • 0.5 cup Honey
  • 0.25 cup Soy Sauce Low sodium
  • 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger Grated

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken in a single layer and cook until golden brown and crispy on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Bring to a simmer.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the honey sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  • Serve immediately over rice, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.

Notes

For extra crispiness, double-fry the chicken. Serve with a side of steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
