This creamy garlic chicken recipe is a quick and easy weeknight meal that is packed with flavor. Tender chicken breasts are cooked in a rich and creamy garlic sauce, perfect served over pasta or rice.

  • 1.5 lbs Boneless, skinless chicken breasts Cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 0.25 cup Chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon Black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  • Add garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook until sauce has thickened slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Return chicken to skillet and coat with sauce. Serve immediately over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.

Notes

Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavor. Serve with a side of steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
