  • 1.5 pounds chicken breast boneless and skinless
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 4 cups chicken broth low sodium
  • 1 cup carrots sliced
  • 1 cup celery chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Preparation Steps

  • In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the chicken breast and cook until fully cooked, about 15 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken from the pot, shred it, and set aside.
  • Add the egg noodles, carrots, and celery to the pot and simmer until the noodles are tender, about 10 minutes.
  • Stir in the heavy cream, shredded chicken, salt, and pepper. Heat through and serve hot.

Notes

This soup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving.
