Creamy Burrito Casserole

This creamy burrito casserole brings together ground beef, flavorful seasoning, and creamy layers for a satisfying family meal.

  • 1.5 pounds ground beef lean
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1 can refried beans 16 oz
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 package large flour tortillas 10 count

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning and simmer according to package instructions.
  • Layer a few spoonfuls of the meat mixture and spread refried beans on a flour tortilla, then roll and place in a casserole dish. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
  • Mix sour cream and salsa, then pour over the rolled tortillas in the dish.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the casserole.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

For extra flavor, top with chopped green onions or avocado slices.
