Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in vanilla extract, egg, and egg yolk until well combined.
Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just incorporated.
Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and centers are set.
Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
